We tested the game using the 64-bit executable under and DirectX 10 with the 1.21 patch applied. We used a custom timedemo recorded on the Harbor map which is more representative of gameplay than the built-in benchmark that renders things much faster than you're going to experience in game.
For our testing, we set all the settings to medium with a resolution of 1680x1050, where both anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering were set to 0x.

The EVGA board doesn't seem to like the overclocked Corsair memory that much since it falls in quite low on average. In contrast, the overclocked G.Skill DIMMs, with the Pi nosing ahead again, perform the best here. Naturally the GT1s at its stock speed and latency isn't far behind though. While not a whole load of difference between the field, for chasing 3DMarks the G.Skills should give that much more e-peen, but actually noticing a difference between 48.8 and 51.6 FPS in game is difficult.

In an even closer packed table with just a single FPS from top to bottom the Corsair with its fastest memory clock, FSB and CPU comes out a fraction faster than the G.Skill GT1s. And by a fraction we literally mean a tenth of a FPS - the extra overclock is just not worth it here. Like previous results for the Rampage Extreme, the low latency 1,600MHz results are sort of mixed with the overclocked numbers and the Corsair at its stock C9 clock is as usual a fraction slower than everything else.

We used the full retail version of the game patched to version 1.5 and recorded a timenetdemo on the Valley level which lasts for several minutes during an online game – this used lots of the different graphical effects to create what we've deemed to be a fairly typical slice of action to stress the system. We also created a custom autoexec file that enabled ultra high video settings, over and above that of the standard in game "high", while soft particles was left disabled for the time being. The resolution was set to 1920x1200 with anti-aliasing set to 0x and anisotropic filtering set to 16x.

I would hasten to say there's no difference in the entire field with
ETQW. Since these are average scores, the performance difference between runs can be as much as 0.5-1FPS so with a field spread 0.3-0.7FPS it's within experimental error. DDR3 memory performance does not affect performance in the idTech 4 engine.

For our testing purposes, we used a full retail copy of the game and patched it to version 1.007, which includes a few fixes and some improved performance under DirectX 10. We used a resolution of 1680x1050 and the "very high" present that sets anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering both to 4x.

Pretty much the same goes for
World in Conflict too - there's between 0.6-1FPS across the entire table on average, however the red GT1s seem to have performed ever so slightly more favourably on the EVGA board. Interestingly on the Intel X48-based Asus Rampage Extreme, the low latency 1,600MHz setups come out best, with the Corsair marginally better on top with a better average and minimum FPS. Just below these are both high clocked G.Skills with the GT1 again offering a better minimum frame rate performance than the Pi.
